Your CPL is too high. Here are the 5 real reasons

When a client tells us their cost per lead is too high, the budget is almost never the problem. Here are the five real reasons we find in audit after audit.

1. The offer is weak

“Contact us” is not an offer. A free audit, a quote in 24 hours, a downloadable price guide โ€” that is an offer. Fix the offer before touching the ads.

2. The creative looks like an ad

People scroll past anything that smells like advertising. Native-looking content โ€” real people, real spaces, real language โ€” consistently beats polished studio creatives on cost per lead.

3. The form asks for too much

Every extra field costs you leads. Name, phone, one qualifying question. That’s it. Qualify later in the conversation, not in the form.

4. The landing page is slow

If your page takes more than 3 seconds to load on a Tunisian 4G connection, you are paying for clicks that never become visits.

5. You’re optimizing for the wrong event

Optimizing for traffic when you want leads teaches the algorithm to find clickers, not buyers. Optimize for the event you actually want โ€” even with less data.

Fix these five before you touch the budget. In most accounts, the CPL drops 30โ€“50% without spending a single extra dinar.
